Insights from SOFTSWISS CTO Ahead of Tech Race Summit 2026

The Tech Race Summit 2026 is set for September 10 in Warsaw, and it promises to be a key gathering of experts focused on the technologies driving today's digital businesses. This event follows a recent media partnership announcement involving SOFTSWISS and World Gaming, aimed at fostering innovation within the iGaming industry.

Sergey Kastukevich, the chief technology officer at SOFTSWISS, recently sat down with Margaret Dunn, the portfolio director at WorldGaming, to discuss the upcoming summit and the industry's current challenges, particularly regarding artificial intelligence (AI). According to Kastukevich, the Tech Race Summit is intended to meet a significant need within the industry. He noted that while there are numerous discussions around business strategies in iGaming, there is a scarcity of focused dialogue on engineering and technology.

The summit is designed to promote knowledge sharing rather than serving as a sales platform for SOFTSWISS. By positioning SOFTSWISS as a host rather than a presenter, the event aims to direct attention toward where senior technologists believe investments and efforts should be concentrated in the coming months.

Dunn highlighted that last year's ICE event also recognized a similar demand for innovation discussions, introducing the Innovator Challenge with collaborations from Microsoft and keynote speeches from AWS and Huawei. In response to this need, the launch of Hall 7 at ICE this year aims to provide a more robust platform for driving the next phase of iGaming innovation.

The Tech Race Summit and Hall 7 at ICE Barcelona in January are seen as interconnected events that will continue the dialogue among CTOs, CSOs, and data leaders, allowing them to build on their previous conversations and developments.

In the interview, Dunn and Kastukevich address the question of whether AI is merely a buzzword in the iGaming industry, sharing their candid perspectives on its implications and uses.
