Greentube, part of the NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment division, has officially launched its services in Alberta as the province opens up to a newly regulated iGaming market, creating a valuable opportunity for the supplier in North America. The introduction of Alberta’s regulated market is a pivotal moment for the Canadian iGaming landscape, as it becomes just the second province to establish regulation, following Ontario. This new system replaces the longstanding monopoly that Play Alberta previously held.
The launch in Alberta comes after extensive regulatory scrutiny and technical assessments, as Greentube obtained approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) to operate within the province.
Greentube's expansion into Alberta enhances its already established foothold in Canada, where it has been active in Ontario since 2022. This move signifies a notable progression in Greentube’s ambitions for growth across North America.
