Betsson has announced an impressive quarterly revenue of €310.2 million for the second quarter of 2026, marking the highest figure ever recorded in a single quarter for the company. This 2% year-on-year growth can largely be attributed to strong customer engagement during the FIFA World Cup.
CEO Pontus Lindwall commented on the results, stating, "Group revenue amounted to €310 million, the highest revenue level ever for Betsson in a single quarter. Our strategy is based on a balanced mix of B2C and B2B initiatives, and we are working hard to return to growth in B2B with both existing and new customers. The FIFA World Cup has provided a solid start to the third quarter."
Despite rising revenues, Betsson experienced a decline in overall profitability, with gross profits decreasing. Operating profits fell by 39% to €42.2 million, while net profits decreased by 38%, totaling €30.4 million. The decrease in profitability is linked to lower B2B revenues and rising gambling taxes in regulated markets.
Latam has emerged as Betsson's largest region, with revenues soaring by 32.3% to reach €112.1 million. Significant growth was noted in countries like Argentina, Peru, and Colombia. Additionally, Western Europe delivered strong results, contributing a record €64.2 million, bolstered by consistent performance in Italy.
Currently, Betsson has 1.83 million active customers, reflecting a nearly 30% increase compared to the previous year. The company also reported impressive operational cash flow, which surged by 47% to €60.4 million.
Looking ahead, Betsson remains optimistic, as they anticipate increased betting activity sparked by the World Cup, with average daily revenue in the initial weeks of Q3 up by 13.7% compared to the same period last year.
