Betsson Reports Record €326.5m Revenue in Q3 2026

Betsson achieved a remarkable revenue milestone in Q3 of 2026, reporting €326.5 million, which marks a 10% increase compared to the previous year. This growth can largely be attributed to the booming casino sector and a solid performance in Latin America, which helped to offset challenges faced in sportsbook margins and a decline in B2B licensing revenues. However, the company's profitability was impacted, as operating profit decreased by 31%, ending at €46.1 million.

The company's interim report, released on October 22, revealed that organic revenue growth stood at 8%, while the number of active B2C customers surged by 40%, reaching an all-time high of 1.9 million. The casino segment generated €253.5 million, an increase of 13.7% from the same period last year, now representing 77% of Betsson’s total revenue, up from 75% in Q3 2025. The gaming solutions segment reported a significant €9.48 billion in casino turnover for the quarter and introduced 478 new casino games, including 40 exclusives.

In contrast, the sportsbook division only saw a modest growth of 0.8%, totaling €71.8 million, despite an 8.1% rise in turnover. The sportsbook margin decreased from 8.8% a year earlier and 10.5% in Q2 2026 to just 8.1% this quarter. Betsson’s president and CEO, Pontus Lindwall, noted the importance of these revenue figures, especially given the low margins in the sportsbook segment.

Latin America remains Betsson's largest market, accounting for 36% of overall revenue with collections reaching €116.1 million, buoyed by strong performances in Argentina, Peru, and Colombia. Revenue also increased in Western Europe by 13.8% to €64.8 million, with Italy achieving its highest revenue figures ever, although Belgium reported declines both year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter, leading to the discontinuation of the betFIRST brand in the region.

The CEECA region reported a 16.8% decrease in revenue to €99.2 million, primarily due to reduced B2B licensing income, though B2C operations in Croatia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia experienced growth. Meanwhile, the Nordic region's revenue fell by 10% to €32.7 million, reflecting downturns in both Sweden and Denmark.

In August 2023, Betsson acquired Rhino Entertainment Group, enabling its entry into the B2C sector in Ontario and other Canadian markets while enhancing its technological assets for B2B licensing revenue. The interim report indicated a preliminary purchase price of €73.1 million on a cash-free and debt-free basis, with goodwill recorded at €47.8 million. This price was revised from an earlier estimate of about €64.5 million reported in March.

As of October 18, 2023, Betsson's average daily revenue for Q4 was 11% higher than that for the entirety of Q4 2025. After adjusting for currency effects and acquisitions, this growth rate is pegged at 9.4%. However, the company has cautioned that sportsbook publishers encounter significantly lower margins compared to previous quarters.

Lindwall expressed confidence in the company’s prospects, stating, "With a scalable business model, attractive products, and strong market positions, we are well positioned to return to earnings growth and continue creating long-term value for our shareholders." The Q3 results highlight a dichotomy within Betsson, showcasing both an expanding customer base and record revenue, alongside growing profitability pressures due to taxes and rising costs.
