Insights Ahead of LiGA Summit 2026: Operator Perspectives for Peru's iGaming Market

With only two weeks left until the inaugural LiGA Summit 2026, a major gathering is set to unfold featuring key figures from the iGaming sector in Peru and the broader Latin American region. Scheduled for September 17-18, 2026, at the El Pardo Lima – A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Lima, Peru, the summit will foster discussions among operators, legal experts, affiliates, providers, and other stakeholders on the implications of Peru's newly regulated iGaming market.

The agenda includes various sessions that will address licensing, market entry, customer acquisition, affiliate partnerships, and the establishment of a sustainable local market. Highlighting the summit’s offerings, the Prediction Markets Summit Americas 2026 will introduce a dedicated half-day stream on September 18, focusing on the mechanics and commercial potential of prediction markets. This segment will delve into the necessary infrastructure for forecasting products, the emergence of event-based betting, and the strategies deployed by regulators, operators, and suppliers in this expanding category.

Insights from industry leaders will be pivotal, with representatives from top operators such as Betnix, La Tinka S.A., and Coolbet set to share their perspectives on the evolving scene in Peru.

Gabriel Bazza, Senior Affiliate Manager at Betnix, emphasizes that professionalism and transparency are crucial for the affiliate sector's growth in Peru. He highlights the importance of adapting to new regulations while maintaining high-quality traffic and performance. Bazza notes that as players grow more discerning, affiliate strategies must become more targeted: "It’s no longer just about bringing volume, but bringing the right players and building better retention." He identifies trust as key to long-term partnerships, stressing that effective communication, transparency, and reliable tracking and payments are essential.

Milagros Gabriela Seijas Peralta, Head of Legal and Compliance at La Tinka S.A., advocates for a comprehensive compliance culture that transcends merely acquiring licenses. She insists on focusing on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, player protection, technological integrity, and proactive risk management. Seijas Peralta envisions responsible gaming as an integral aspect of product development, stating, "Innovation must progress alongside appropriate mechanisms for prevention, information and player protection."

Regarding the ongoing competitiveness of Peru’s regulated market, Seijas Peralta asserts that effective oversight, strong player protection, and transparent communication between regulators and the industry are vital. She also calls for a regulatory framework that balances tax impacts to ensure the market's sustainability.

Ernesto Cabrera, Social Media Manager at Coolbet, discusses how social media has transformed the operator-player dynamic in Latin America. He states, "Social media has ceased to be merely a communication channel and has become one of the main spaces for conversation between operators and players." He notes that differentiating a brand goes beyond simply offering odds or promotions; understanding the culture and interests of players is now essential. Cabrera highlights the need for impactful content that engages players without disrupting their experience, suggesting that success in social media hinges on relatable, real-time content and community engagement. He concludes by saying that creativity and responsible gaming can coexist, with the challenge lying in incorporating compliance into the creative process from the outset.

As the summit approaches, opportunities remain for organizations to participate, whether by attending, sponsoring, or exhibiting. This event promises to connect leading operators and key stakeholders in the region, contributing to the growth and future of Latin America's gaming market.
