OpenBet has announced that Nikos Konstakis, previously the company's president, will step up as chief executive officer, taking over from Jordan Levin, who will become chairman.
Konstakis brings over eight years of experience in senior operational and commercial roles at OpenBet. He will be responsible for the company's strategic direction, product development, technology initiatives, and daily operations.
The company praised Konstakis for his significant contributions to operational execution and strategic planning throughout his tenure.
Jordan Levin will transition to his role as chairman immediately, while Konstakis is set to officially assume the CEO position at the end of this year. Levin previously guided OpenBet through a management buyout earlier this year and has secured private investment led by entertainment executive Ariel Emanuel. He will remain actively involved in shaping the firm's long-term strategy as chairman.
This management change follows a $450 million deal where Levin and other senior executives acquired the platform business from Endeavor. Levin has been leading OpenBet since 2021 and has an extensive background in the industry, having served as group CEO for Scientific Games’ digital operations prior to that.
Levin expressed confidence in Konstakis, stating, “Nikos has already been instrumental in driving the evolution of OpenBet. I have tremendous confidence in his leadership as CEO. I am excited to continue supporting Nikos and the wider team as we drive the next phase of OpenBet’s growth.”
Konstakis has been with OpenBet for five years in various senior positions, including COO and CPO. Before joining OpenBet, he spent time at Scientific Games, where he oversaw global sportsbook and product operations and managed the Athens-based digital business. He has a long history in the industry, including 19 years at Intralot, where he became a group director of betting in 2015.
Expressing his commitment to the company, Konstakis said, “I am honored by the appointment and my focus will be on building on those strengths, bringing even greater pace and focus to the business and making sure we continue to set the standard in the markets we serve.”
This leadership transition coincides with a phase of commercial consolidation for OpenBet. Recently, the company announced its intention to acquire OmniLogic, which aims to enhance its presence in the global lottery market and strengthen connections with World Lottery Association (WLA) operators. OpenBet believes the acquisition will bring valuable technology, expertise, and established partnerships to complement its existing capabilities and fortify its global operations. OpenBet referred to OmniLogic as "the partner of choice for lotteries worldwide."
