SBC has announced the formation of a new Regulatory Advisory Board that aims to enhance dialogue and collaboration between regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders across global gaming markets. This initiative seeks to promote knowledge sharing and address common challenges faced by regulators, licensed operators, lotteries, and policymakers.
Former Chairman of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, Andrew Gellatly, will chair the new board. The inaugural members include executives from well-known companies such as Allwyn, Entain, OpenBet, and Playtech, along with SBC leaders.
The Advisory Board will offer strategic guidance on SBC's regulatory initiatives, facilitate high-level discussions, and pinpoint emerging regulatory issues impacting international gaming markets. The creation of this board reflects SBC's broader commitment to fostering connections among regulators, policymakers, and industry leaders, enabling them to share insights and collaborate on sustainable gaming market development.
Members of the SBC Regulatory Advisory Board:
– Andrew Gellatly – Former Executive Director, AGCC (Chairman)
– David Foster – Group Director of International Regulatory Affairs, Entain
– Yannis Xirotiris – Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs, Kaizen Gaming

"I look forward to supporting SBC in developing its regulatory initiatives across international markets," Gellatly remarked.
Another key focus for the Advisory Board will be the SBC Leaders Regulatory Forums, scheduled to take place in Amsterdam on April 19, 2027. This event will coincide with the SBC Summit Europe, where around 350 decision-makers in Europe’s regulated gaming sector are expected to convene. Additionally, there are plans for a North American forum in Toronto, which aims to gather 250 senior regulatory and industry leaders from the U.S. and Canada.
This new initiative builds upon SBC’s partnerships with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), reinforcing its commitment to regulatory education, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. Overall, the establishment of the Regulatory Advisory Board is expected to provide an essential platform for constructive conversations between regulators and industry leaders, promoting the long-term viability of responsible and competitive regulated gaming markets worldwide.
