Bloko Padel Tour Celebrates 2026 Champions in Rome

Blokotech has concluded its inaugural Bloko Padel Tour with a Grand Finale in Rome, marking a successful first season that brought together the global iGaming community through the spirit of padel, competitiveness, and networking.

The event took place at SiGMA World on November 4th, where top players gathered to compete for the 2026 championships after previously contesting tournaments in Buenos Aires, Malta, Miami, and Mexico City.

In the Beginner category, champions Rommel Bucheli and Edu Molina triumphed over runners-up Yosef Kamel and Ronaldo Molina. Meanwhile, Borja Jimenez and Francisco Amat claimed victory in the Advanced category, beating Nicolas Castearena and Andres Troelsen, who finished in second place.

A prominent figure at the Grand Finale was Italian sports icon Marco Materazzi, a World Cup winner, serving as the Bloko Padel Tour's official ambassador. He participated alongside delegates at Pavilion 9, which was transformed into a vibrant hub for padel and networking, featuring a competition court, VIP areas, a bar, and entertainment. The atmosphere facilitated connections between players and industry professionals throughout SiGMA World. Additionally, former Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella joined the festivities by participating in an exhibition match on November 3rd.

Marco Materazzi expressed his excitement, stating, "It’s been a genuine pleasure to be part of the Bloko Padel Tour and to see the passion and energy surrounding the Grand Finale. Padel is a sport that brings people together, and that’s exactly what this tour has achieved. I’ve loved being involved and seeing the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the players. I’m proud to be an ambassador for the series and look forward to seeing it grow even further in 2027."

The excitement doesn’t stop here, as today features One Point by Blokotech, a fast-paced competition where every point gained matters. This format aims to thrill both players and spectators as competitors vie for the title, with the day’s champion announced by the end of the event.

More than just a sports tournament, the Bloko Padel Tour has evolved into a significant international networking platform, uniting decision-makers in the iGaming industry and fostering real connections beyond typical conference interactions.

Following the success of its opening season, the Bloko Padel Tour will return in 2027 with six international tournaments scheduled across Europe and Latin America, in partnership with SiGMA. The series will kick off in Barcelona on January 18th during the ICE event, followed by tournaments in Buenos Aires on March 15th, São Paulo on April 5th, Malta on May 3rd, and Mexico City, culminating in another Grand Finale in Rome. Both Beginner and Advanced draws will be available once again, with players accruing ranking points throughout the season to qualify for the Grand Finale.

Salvatore Messina, Co-Founder and CEO of Blokotech, remarked, “Rome delivered the finale that the Bloko Padel Tour deserved! Congratulations to our winners and everyone who made our inaugural season such a success. It’s been fantastic to see the industry come together, combining some healthy competition with great opportunities to connect and build relationships away from the exhibition floor. We couldn’t have asked for a better first season, and we can’t wait to return in 2027 with an even bigger and better series.”

Registration for the 2027 Barcelona tournament is now open, allowing participants to sign up individually or as part of a pair.
