NorthStar Gaming has officially named Corey Goodman as its permanent CEO at a crucial juncture, as the company navigates significant financial challenges and operational restructuring. Alongside Goodman, Ben Powell assumes the interim CFO role, stepping in after Chin Dhushenthen's resignation on August 17, 2026, while Krisztina Kalla joins the executive board as vice president overseeing compliance.
Goodman, who previously served as interim CEO, played a vital role in guiding the company through a period marked by financial reporting and audit issues. Dean MacDonald, chair of the board, praised Goodman’s contributions during these tough times, stating, "Corey has brought focus and discipline to the Company at a pivotal time, and the Board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business."
Ben Powell, a CFA who has been with NorthStar since its inception, will support the organization’s financial operations during this transitional phase. He will also act as an advisor until the company achieves full compliance with its audit requirements. Similarly, Krisztina Kalla’s appointment enhances the leadership team’s focus on regulatory adherence.
In his new role, Goodman remarked on the recent appointments: "I am also pleased to welcome Ben and Krisztina to their new roles, and I am confident that the strengthened finance and compliance functions will serve the Company well as we move forward.",
