The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) in Brazil has suspended fourteen licensed betting sites due to non-compliance with reporting requirements and responsible gambling regulations. This action follows the initiation of sanction procedures in August 2025, during which the SPA implemented seven preventive measures aimed at protecting the public while investigations are carried out.
As a result of the suspension, these betting operators are required to halt all gambling activities. They may withdraw funds from their accounts, but they are prohibited from any other financial transactions. Operators who fail to abide by the SPA’s orders could face daily fines of BRL 200,000.
Five of the preventive measures stem from issues related to information management using Sigap, Brazil’s gambling management system, which allows the SPA to monitor betting volumes, revenues, and compliance in real time. The remaining two measures address failures in establishing adequate systems for monitoring and assessing players, in line with Brazil’s responsible gambling standards.
Pixbet Soluções TecnolĂ³gicas faced two precautionary suspensions affecting three sites for failing to adhere to responsible gambling regulations. The brands impacted include pixbet.bet.br, ganhei.bet.br, and betdasorte.bet.br. Zeroumbet Digital Platform, overseeing zeroum.bet.br, sportvip.bet.br, and energia.bet.br, was sanctioned for not supplying the necessary information to the SPA for regulatory oversight.
Enseada Serviços e Tecnologia was directed to cease operations at kbet.bet.br due to its failure to provide required documentation. Select Operations, which manages mma.bet.br, betvip.bet.br, and papigames.bet.br, also neglected to submit the information mandated by the regulator. Additionally, Nexus International, responsible for megaposta.bet.br, did not provide necessary documents through Sigap for the announcement of its regulated activities. RR Participações e Intermediações de NegĂ³cios, which operates multibet.bet.br, rico.bet.br, and brx.bet.br, failed to supply critical documentation to verify its ownership structure, complicating the SPA’s compliance checks.
This recent measure underscores the SPA’s increasing vigilance over Brazil’s regulated betting market, with a particular emphasis on real-time monitoring and responsible gambling practices.
