Esportes da Sorte Group has announced its acquisition of Apostou.com, a strategic move to bolster its presence in Brazil's expanding betting market. The deal also includes the BETBR Loterias brand as well as B1BET and BRBET. This acquisition positions Esportes da Sorte closer to Brazil's regulated betting industry, which has seen significant growth, evidenced by over $1.2 billion generated in tax revenue during the first half of the year. Esportes da Sorte has held a full federal license to operate legally in Brazil since 2025 and already manages several brands, including Esportes da Sorte, Lottu, and Onabet. The acquisition is currently under review by Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). This move is part of a broader trend of consolidation in Brazil’s betting market, marked by notable transactions such as Flutter Entertainment’s acquisition of a controlling stake in Betnacional and ANA Gaming's ongoing portfolio expansion. These developments underscore the intensifying competition in one of the largest regulated betting markets globally.
