Esportes da Sorte Acquires Apostou.com in Brazil Expansion

Esportes da Sorte Group has expanded its presence in Brazil by acquiring Apostou.com, which includes the BETBR Loterias and the B1BET and BRBET brands. This acquisition positions Esportes da Sorte Group to engage more closely with Brazil's growing regulated betting industry, evidenced by over $1.2 billion in tax revenue generated in the first half of the year. Since 2025, the company has held a federal license to operate legally in Brazil, and it already manages the brands Esportes da Sorte, Lottu, and Onabet. Currently, the acquisition is being reviewed by Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE). This deal is part of a broader trend of consolidation in Brazil's betting market, where recent activities include Flutter Entertainment obtaining a controlling stake in Betnacional and ANA Gaming enhancing its portfolio through multiple acquisitions, indicating heightened competition in one of the world’s largest regulated betting markets.
