White Hat Gaming has announced the appointment of Leon Thomas as its new Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, and partnerships, aiming to expand the company's footprint in regulated markets globally.
Leon Thomas comes with over two decades of experience in the gaming sector, having held senior positions at various companies, including Hard Rock Digital, Entain, and tombola. His most recent position was as Vice President International at Hard Rock Digital, where he spearheaded the company's growth into markets such as Canada, the Netherlands, and Mexico. Previously, at Entain, Thomas served as Group Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, eventually becoming the Managing Director for its Canadian-focused brands, such as Sports Interaction. He also has a solid track record in scaling B2B businesses within regulated markets, notably during his time with online casino software company Microgaming and instant win games provider IWG.
This announcement arrives amidst a trend of consolidation among platform suppliers, prompting many operators to reassess their technology needs. White Hat Gaming is specifically focusing on operators that are moving away from suppliers that are consolidating or discontinuing products, as well as those brands that are looking to establish or expand their presence in regulated markets worldwide.
