Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) announced on Monday that it has appointed Gavin Isaacs to its board in an advisory role, pending regulatory review and approval.
Isaacs comes with more than 25 years of experience in the gaming industry, including sectors like iGaming, sports betting, and lotteries. He will serve alongside delegates from CVC Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
The specific details regarding the start date, compensation, or any equity arrangements tied to Isaacs' role have not been disclosed by GLI.
Isaacs has an extensive career marked by key executive positions and has been involved in mergers and acquisitions exceeding $10 billion in value. His background includes being on the board of Galaxy Gaming and a brief tenure as CEO of Entain, lasting five months. He was inducted into the American Gaming Association Hall of Fame in 2022 for his significant contributions to the industry.
Expressing his enthusiasm for this new venture, Isaacs said, "I am excited to join the board of GLI as it embarks on its next stage of growth. I look forward to working with James Maida and CVC as we build upon the incredible business built by James and his team over the past 37 years."
This announcement follows a deal disclosed in June, where GLI partnered with CVC's Strategic Opportunities division, which invested in GLI and its affiliates to bolster the company's global expansion and long-term plans.
James Maida, GLI's CEO, emphasized that Isaacs’ experience aligns well with the company’s growth objectives. He remarked, "I am thrilled that Gavin is joining the GLI board… Gavin’s decades of experience, vision, and history of innovation make him a perfect partner as we move forward."
