NorthStar Gaming has officially appointed Corey Goodman as its permanent chief executive officer during a challenging phase for the company, which is working on its financial operations. Alongside Goodman, Ben Powell has taken on the interim CFO role, following the departure of Chin Dhushenthen on August 17, 2026. The company also welcomed Krisztina Kalla to its executive board as vice president of compliance.
Previously, Goodman held the position of interim CEO and played a crucial role in navigating the company's financial and operational uncertainties stemming from incomplete reporting and audits. Dean MacDonald, the chair of NorthStar Gaming, acknowledged Goodman's impact during this critical time, expressing confidence in his leadership as the company aims to finalize its financial reporting and enhance its operations.
"Corey has brought focus and discipline to the company at a pivotal time, and the Board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business," MacDonald stated.
In Powell's new role as interim CFO, he is expected to steer the company through its financial matters while also serving as an advisor until all compliance with audits is achieved. Powell, a CFA, has been part of NorthStar from its inception, contributing significantly to resolving its financial challenges. Meanwhile, Kalla's addition to the executive team is intended to bolster the compliance department.
Goodman commented on the recent transitions, stating, "I am also pleased to welcome Ben and Krisztina to their new roles, and I am confident that the strengthened finance and compliance functions will serve the Company well as we move forward.",
