Bally’s CFO Mira Mircheva Resigns Effective September 2026

Bally's Chief Financial Officer, Mira Mircheva, has announced her resignation effective at the end of September 2026, citing personal reasons for her departure. During this transition period, President George Papanier will assume the role of interim CFO as the company looks for a permanent replacement.

Mircheva's resignation coincides with ongoing liquidity challenges faced by Bally’s, which is currently grappling with over $4.466 billion in long-term debt. There are rising concerns about the company’s future viability as a going concern.

While the search for a new CFO is underway, Papanier will be responsible for overseeing the finance operations to ensure that reporting, controls, and capital markets functions remain uninterrupted.

Robeson Reeves, CEO of Bally’s Corporation, expressed gratitude towards Mircheva for her contributions, stating, "We thank Mira for her service and wish her well. George’s long-standing leadership, together with an experienced finance team, will help ensure our reporting, controls and capital markets work continue without disruption."

Since her appointment in May 2025, Mircheva has served as the CFO for almost 16 months. Before joining Bally, she held the same position at Queen Casino & Entertainment. The two companies merged after Standard General LP acquired Queen, where Mircheva had worked as a partner for over eight years before taking on her role at Bally.
