Karolina Pelc founded BeyondPlay with an emphasis on multiplayer gaming, but the company's breakthrough came with the launch of a jackpot product. She started BeyondPlay in 2021 after receiving backing from angel investors and venture capitalists. The company was acquired by Flutter Entertainment's FanDuel last year, marking a significant milestone in its growth.
In an interview with host Katie Goldfinch, Pelc discussed the hurdles of launching a new product, securing a UK license, and the ongoing challenge of fundraising. "We launched one of the biggest jackpots in the industry on day one and it went pretty smooth sailing. Customers were happy, end users were happy. And I think it was a big realisation for us that this is going to work," Pelc stated during her appearance at ICE Barcelona 2025.
