Fragbite has announced an expanded partnership with Abios, a collaboration that dates back to 2017. Abios has provided essential data for League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), helping to enhance Fragbite’s tournament schedules and detailed match statistics.
Daniel Pereaux, CEO of Fragbite, expressed his admiration for the growth of Abios’ business and its products over the years. He emphasized that this extended partnership aims to elevate the Fragleague tournaments by integrating customized gadgets and solutions derived from Abios' offerings.
Founded in 2002, Fragbite has become a well-known entity in the Nordic esports sector, with Fragleague hosting tournaments for CS:GO, Valorant, and PUBG.
Oskar Fröberg, CEO and founder of Abios, noted their excitement about supporting grassroots initiatives in Nordic esports. He highlighted Fragbite's longstanding commitment to providing content for Swedish esports fans and enthusiasts.
Fröberg stated, "We are happy to not only provide data and technology solutions, but also be the exclusive rights-holder of their real-time tournament data. We very much look forward to building and offering a completely new set of products targeted specifically at the Nordic audience."
This announcement follows Abios' acquisition by sports betting technology provider Kambi, in a deal valued at up to SEK270m (£22.9m/€26.6m/$31.5m). Both Fröberg and Chief Technology Officer Anton Janer will continue in their positions after the transaction is completed.
