The Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) announced on Friday that it has taken significant action against 14 licensed betting sites, ordering their immediate suspension. These precautionary measures follow administrative sanctioning processes that began in August 2025.
These precautionary measures are vital tools for the SPA, enabling it to fulfill its supervisory and sanctioning roles. They are designed to protect societal interests and can be enacted when there is a risk of harm or delay, as detailed in articles 44 to 46 of Law 14.790/2023 and articles 31 to 33 of SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1233/2024. Among the measures available are the temporary deactivation of equipment and systems, as well as the retrieval of issued tickets.
Out of the seven precautionary measures implemented, five involved issues related to the operators’ failures to transmit necessary information to the betting management system, known as Sigap. This system is used by the SPA to monitor betting activity, gross gaming revenue, and ensure compliance with established regulations in real time. The other two measures were related to inadequate mechanisms for promoting responsible gaming and monitoring user engagement.
The suspension restricts the affected companies from operating, only allowing them to provide access for players to withdraw their funds. The operators involved in this action include:
– **Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas**: Two precautionary measures were imposed—one for failing to adequately monitor responsible gaming and the other for not sending information to Sigap. The platforms affected are pixbet.bet.br, ganhei.bet.br, and betdasorte.bet.br.
– **Zeroumbet Digital Platform**: This operator, which manages the brands zeroum.bet.br, sportvip.bet.br, and energia.bet.br, also did not comply with information submission requirements for SPA oversight.
– **Enseada Serviços e Tecnologia**: The brand kbet.bet.br was suspended due to failures in forwarding the required information.
– **Select Operations**: The owner of mma.bet.br, betvip.bet.br, and papigames.bet.br faced suspension for not sending necessary information for oversight.
– **Nexus International**: The brand megaposta.bet.br was suspended due to the company’s failure to submit required documentation to Sigap.
– **RR Participações e Intermediações de Negócios**: With brands multibet.bet.br, rico.bet.br, and brx.bet.br, this company lacked the necessary documents for due diligence, hindering proper compliance assessments regarding legal, tax, labor, and financial qualifications through its actual shareholding structure.
Operators that fail to comply with these precautionary measures will face daily fines of BRL200,000 ($38,557).
