The Malta Gaming Authority has issued a warning about several websites falsely claiming to be licensed by them or misrepresenting themselves as legitimate sites with MGA authorization. In a notice released on July 16, the authority identified three active websites involved in this fraudulent activity: manekicasino.bet, dragonaracasino.uk.com, and slot-hunter.at.
The MGA clarified that it has no affiliation with these sites and emphasized that any assertions of MGA licensing or regulatory approval made by them are false. They cautioned players to verify the licensing status of any gambling operator, noting that sites lacking proper licenses are operating illegally in Malta.
Reports suggest that one of the domains, dragonaracasino.uk.com, appears to be imitating the brand of the well-known Dragonara Casino located in St. Julian’s. The authority assured that it will continue to monitor websites that misuse its name or falsely claim MGA licensing, and it urged players to engage only with licensed gambling operators.
