Cambodia's Commercial Gambling Management Commission (CGMC) is preparing to launch a nationwide inspection of casinos as part of a broader effort to enhance oversight in the country's gambling industry. During a meeting on July 20, Secretary General Yeth Vinel guided officials through the proposed inspection programs and the regulatory priorities for the latter half of 2026. The commission also outlined its strategic goals for 2027 to 2030.

On June 20, Aun Pornmoniroth, chairman of the CGMC, emphasized the importance of thorough monitoring by state departments, particularly regarding licensing issues. As reported by Khmer Times, he warned that casino operators involved in fraudulent activities or cybercrime would face the loss of their licenses.
