Lottomatica has reported a 5% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching €537 million in the third quarter of 2026. This marks the company's first set of quarterly results following its announcement of the acquisition of Cirsa for €2.8 million. The adjusted EBITDA for this quarter stood at €200 million, reflecting a 3% increase from the same period last year. Chairman and CEO Guglielmo Angelozzi indicated that they expect to finalize the Cirsa acquisition by the second quarter of 2027, describing it as a "major strategic milestone" that will significantly expand Lottomatica’s scale and growth prospects.
Angelozzi emphasized the positive integration process with Cirsa, stating, "The integration work streams are already up and running with our colleagues in Cirsa. The chemistry is very good." This acquisition is anticipated to enhance Lottomatica's market presence, which has traditionally been focused on Italy, while recent results confirm the company's strong domestic performance.
In the third quarter of 2026, Lottomatica reported a 2.1 percentage point increase in its online sports betting market share in Italy, lifting it to 34.8%. Its iGaming market share also grew by 0.6 percentage points, resulting in a combined online market share of 31.7%, an increase of 0.9% compared to the same time last year.
Angelozzi attributed the company's success to improvements in its product offerings and marketing strategies, stating, "When you continue to do well on the product, well on the marketing activities, improving the offer, you keep on eroding market share from competition slowly but consistently."
Online operations have been critical in driving growth for Lottomatica. Over the first nine months of 2026, the company recorded a betting handle of €35.2 billion, reflecting an 8% increase year-on-year. Online betting represented €24.2 billion, accounting for about 69% of the total and marking a 12% annual growth.
Lottomatica also noted the influence of sports outcomes on its performance in Q3, reporting adjusted EBITDA alongside normalised estimates that account for typical payout conditions.
