Betsson Reports Record Revenue of €326.5 Million in Q3 2026

Betsson achieved a record revenue of €326.5 million in the third quarter of 2026, reflecting a 10% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was primarily driven by the casino sector and robust performance in Latin America, which helped offset declining margins in the sportsbook and reduced income from B2B licensing. However, increasing gaming taxes and payment costs impacted overall profitability, leading to a 31% drop in operating profit to €46.1 million.

The company’s interim report, released on October 22, shows that organic revenue growth was 8%, and the number of active B2C customers surged by 40%, reaching a milestone of 1.9 million. The casino segment recorded impressive revenue of €253.5 million, marking a year-on-year rise of 13.7%. Casino operations constituted 77% of the total revenue, a slight increase from 75% in Q3 2025. Betsson’s gaming solutions reported a significant total turnover of €9.48 billion in casino activity, while 478 new casino games, including 40 exclusive titles, were launched during the quarter.

The sportsbook division also saw growth, albeit modest, with revenues climbing by 0.8% to €71.8 million despite an 8.1% increase in turnover. However, the sportsbook margin fell from 8.8% a year earlier and 10.5% in Q2 2026 to just 8.1%.

Pontus Lindwall, Betsson’s president and CEO, noted the importance of the impressive revenue figures, especially in light of the low margin within sportsbook operations. Latin America has become Betsson’s largest market, accounting for 36% of its total revenue at €116.1 million, spurred by solid performances in Argentina, Peru, and Colombia. Revenue from Western Europe also increased by 13.8% to €64.8 million, with Italy achieving its highest revenue results to date, although Belgium experienced declines both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter following the discontinuation of the betFIRST brand in the region.

In Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CEECA), revenue decreased by 16.8% to €99.2 million, attributed partly to lower B2B licensing income, although B2C operations in Croatia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia showed growth. Nordic revenue fell by 10% to €32.7 million, with Sweden and Denmark both reporting declines.

In August 2023, Betsson acquired Rhino Entertainment Group, expanding its B2C operations into Ontario and other Canadian markets, while also obtaining additional technological assets that enhance B2B licensing revenue potential. The interim report indicated a preliminary purchase price of €73.1 million on a cash-free and debt-free basis, including €47.8 million in goodwill. When first announced in March, the anticipated price was approximately €64.5 million.

As of October 18, 2023, Betsson noted that its average daily revenue in Q4 was 11% higher than the average daily revenue for the entirety of Q4 2025. Adjusting for currency impacts and acquisitions, the growth rate is 9.4%. The report did indicate that sportsbook publishers at the start of the quarter faced significantly lower margins compared to the previous eight quarters.

Lindwall stated, "With a scalable business model, attractive products, and strong market positions, we are well positioned to return to earnings growth and continue creating long-term value for our shareholders." The Q3 results highlight the contrast between Betsson’s expanding customer base and record revenue alongside the profitability challenges posed by taxes, costs, and lower B2B licensing income.
