GAT Expo Santo Domingo 2026 Set to Address New Gaming Law Impact

The passage of Gaming Law 86-26 has ushered in a transformative era for the Dominican gaming industry, establishing a fresh regulatory framework that has raised hopes across various sectors. In light of this development, GAT Expo Santo Domingo 2026 is set to take place on Wednesday, November 18, at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino. This event will gather prominent industry associations, operators, manufacturers, and technology providers from both the Dominican Republic and international markets.

Leading the array of participants will be the National Federation of Lottery Betting Shops (FENABANCA), headed by Juan Antonio Del JesĂºs; the Dominican Association of Sports Betting Shops (ADOBAD), represented by Leonardo Lantigua and Ariel Espinal; the Dominican Association of Gaming Casinos (ADCJ), led by David Moniz; and the National Association of Sports Betting Shops (ANBD), under the leadership of Ricardo Nadal. These associations will have significant representation, as the expo features an eight-hour trade exhibition alongside opportunities for analysis and dialogue focused on the industry's future. Their involvement is expected to enhance relationships among industry representatives, suppliers, and operators at this critical moment for the Dominican market.

The event has garnered support from national and international sponsors, with RAZA.do, a sports betting operator, serving as the Diamond Sponsor and hosting a welcome reception on Tuesday, November 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Juancito Sport joins as a Platinum Sponsor, further highlighting Dominican gaming companies' commitment to this international gathering.

Other notable sponsors include BetConstruct, a global provider of technology platforms for sports betting, casinos, and iGaming solutions; Gamanza, a Swiss company specializing in regulated-market platforms and gamification; and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), a leading figure in technical standards compliance and certification. Their support is aimed at fostering business relationships and facilitating knowledge exchange within the industry.

A crucial component of the expo will be the GAT Talks session, taking place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 18. This panel discussion will convene representatives from the four main associations, with Attorney Yamile Gutiérrez moderating. They will examine the implications of the new legislation, its implementation challenges, and opportunities for enhancing business activity, formalization, and sustainable development within the Dominican gaming sector.

Andrés Blanco, General Manager of Gamanza Engage, will present insights on player marketing and loyalty, leveraging technology and principles of behavioral psychology to improve user experience while upholding ethical standards in responsible gaming. Additionally, José Carlos Figueroa, Regional Manager for the Caribbean at GLI, will share his expertise on technical standards, certification, and compliance, vital areas during the Dominican market's regulatory evolution.

The trade exhibition, hosted in the Anacaona Ballroom from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., continues to expand, with new entrants such as Demp Innovations, Lotobet, Loto Real, Sport Integrity Team (SIT), IGC, and Mobbili joining existing exhibitors like Prometeo, Cecomsa, and others. This venue will display solutions across the gaming spectrum, encouraging direct engagement between suppliers, operators, and investors.

GAT Expo Dominican Republic will conclude the GAT Events 2026 Circuit, which has successfully visited cities including Cartagena de Indias, Mexico City, SĂ£o Paulo, San Juan, and BogotĂ¡ before making its final stop in Santo Domingo.

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT Events, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the annual circuit, remarking on the adaptability of event formats to diverse jurisdictions. Aguirre announced the anticipation of next year’s events in Cartagena, scheduled for March 30, 31, and April 1.

With a full day of business opportunities, the Santo Domingo expo will allow participants to discover new gaming portfolios, gain insight into key Dominican market perspectives regarding the new legislation, build connections with international suppliers, and seek valuable business prospects across the Greater and Lesser Antilles.
