Casino operators are facing a unique challenge as they strive to attract a new generation of players. Those prospective customers have grown up immersed in a digital environment that values simplicity, speed, and instant gratification, yet much of the gaming experience remains complicated and foreign. Sports betting, for instance, often presents bewildering odds and terminology, while outcomes may take anywhere from minutes to hours. Traditional casino games, in contrast, feel outdated compared to the rapid-fire, ever-changing content prevalent on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
George Yashin, the founder of Swipe Games, recognized this disconnect during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After spending about 15 years in various industries, including fashion technology and retail, Yashin encountered a frustratingly complex betting interface. This led him to seek out a betting shop for help, and upon exploring casino games, he noticed they hadn’t evolved significantly since the slot machines he remembered.
Yashin shared his thoughts: "I started thinking about how to combine the really great monetization of randomness in casino games with the attention loop of social media platforms. The idea was: what if you could bet on the result of a short video or a short TikTok?"
That innovation led to the establishment of Swipe Games, based in Cyprus. Though still in its infancy, the company has quickly gained momentum in the gaming industry since launching its products late last year. Rather than following a traditional game selection process, Swipe Games allows players to engage in an endless series of brief videos, where they have just a few seconds to decide between three potential outcomes. For example, during a football penalty shootout simulation, players might need to choose between a goal, a miss, or a save.
The conclusion of each video reveals the outcome. If a player isn't interested in a specific clip, they can simply swipe up to see another.
Yashin explained, "We are as quick as crash games, but the pattern and the feel are more like betting. We are combining two different worlds – betting and quick games."
The burgeoning category of prediction markets mirrors this trend, as consumers increasingly seek intuitive ways to guess future events. Swipe Games translates this behavior into a casino format, where short-form content transforms into an instantly playable experience with swift outcome revelations.
Despite its initial unfamiliarity, Yashin noted a swift industry response to Swipe Games’ concept. Since commencing sales at the end of 2025, the company has secured approximately 30 to 40 contracts with partners like BGaming, SoftSwiss, 1xBet, 01.tech, and Broadway.
Yashin expressed his surprise at the enthusiastic reception, particularly from traditional operators. He shared that one business development manager with over 20 years in the sector remarked on how easy Swipe's product was to sell. Feedback from potential clients reflects a similar sentiment; out of around 50 leads cultivated through networking and events, only one opted out of integration, resulting in a growing waitlist of prospective partners.
Yashin mentioned that within the company, they use the term "hot pie" to describe a product that sells effortlessly, suggesting that Swipe Games has struck a chord in the market.
Initial player data is affirming Yashin's confidence that Swipe Games offers more than just a flashy interface. He compared player sessions to those of crash games, which have similarly brief rounds, noting that a typical Swipe Games round lasts roughly eight to ten seconds, but the stakes reflect a closer alignment with sports betting.
For instance, in one market, the average bet for Swipe Games was found to be 20 times higher than that of crash games at the same operator. Retention rates have also been strong, with Yashin pointing out that day-one to day-30 retention can sometimes exceed traditional benchmarks by five to ten times, along with an increase in the number of rounds played per session.
This remarkable performance, Yashin posits, can be attributed to the user behavior that inspired Swipe Games. Players of crash games typically see repetitive visuals, while Swipe's quick, ever-changing content aligns well with the expectations social media has instilled in its audience.
To maintain this diversity of content, Swipe Games faced a pivotal challenge: creating enough randomness to keep the experience engaging. The solution lay in the implementation of generative AI, allowing Swipe Games to produce a library exceeding 20,000 videos. This expansive content engine enables the platform to remain fresh and relevant, poised to update every two weeks with new games or content.
Yashin remarked, "People always need something new. I think the next wave is games with more content inside."
AI’s utility extends beyond content generation. Swipe Games employs AI to bolster efficiencies in operator integrations, with some partners completing direct integrations in as little as 24 hours and reverse integrations in no more than three weeks.
Looking ahead, Swipe Games harbors ambitious goals, with a “North Star” set at €600 million in monthly betting volume. However, Yashin envisions a broader role for Swipe beyond being just another game category. He aspires for it to become a foundational feature of casino offerings, enabling players to find a dedicated Swipe button that delivers a personalized, endless stream of content.
Yashin concluded by emphasizing the industry’s potential for growth through generative and real-time AI, extending even into live casino experiences. While he anticipates competitors may arise if swipe gaming gains traction, he remains confident in Swipe Games’ ability to maintain its edge in creativity, speed, and trend responsiveness.
“Every era of iGaming has been defined by a breakthrough format,” Yashin affirmed. "I think the next wave is games with more content inside, and we see swipe games as potentially being the next wave."
