Backseat Gaming Launches as Independent Studio

Backseat Gaming has launched as an independent studio, utilizing its proprietary Remote Gaming Server (RGS) to create and deliver player-centric content to audiences globally. After completing two years of internal development and extensive testing, the studio now operates entirely on its own technology stack, designed and managed by a skilled in-house team.

This development signifies a significant milestone for the studio, which has already seen its games go live with various operators and platforms, including a recent integration with Hub88. Now that it is fully in control of its roadmap, Backseat Gaming aims to enhance its game release schedule with a new title every week. The studio also intends to develop a series of exclusive games tailored for select operators.

Backseat Gaming employs state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and advanced technologies while maintaining a human approach to redefine the future of slot games. With a focus on straightforward gameplay and an emphasis on bold design, the studio is gaining traction with popular titles like Born in Hell, Toad Town, and Totem Tower Bonanza.

Co-Founder and CEO Espen Oeye remarked, "This is a defining moment for Backseat Gaming, after years of dedicated work by our team to create a studio that’s entirely our own. Having full ownership of our technology and roadmap means we can move faster and stay closer to what players really want. We’re looking forward to building on the momentum we have already gained, as we continue expanding our reach across the global iGaming industry."
