NorthStar Gaming has formally appointed Corey Goodman as its CEO amidst ongoing financial restructuring and operational adjustments. Alongside Goodman, Ben Powell steps into the interim CFO role, while Krisztina Kalla joins the executive board as vice president for compliance.
Goodman previously served as the interim CEO, guiding the company through recent financial challenges linked to incomplete reporting and audits. Dean MacDonald, the board chair, praised Goodman for his leadership during this critical time, stating that he has brought focus and discipline to the organization.
"Corey has brought focus and discipline to the Company at a pivotal time, and the Board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business," MacDonald said.
Powell's interim CFO position follows the resignation of Chin Dhushenthen on August 17, 2026. Dhushenthen will remain as an advisor until all audit compliance is finalized. Powell, a chartered financial analyst and a founding member of NorthStar, has been instrumental in resolving its financial issues.
Additionally, Krisztina Kalla's appointment as vice president for compliance further strengthens the company's executive team. Goodman expressed optimism about the new appointments, stating, "I am also pleased to welcome Ben and Krisztina to their new roles, and I am confident that the strengthened finance and compliance functions will serve the Company well as we move forward."
