Gavin Isaacs Joins GLI Board as Advisor

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) announced on Monday that Gavin Isaacs, a well-respected figure in the gaming industry, has been appointed to its advisory board. This appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

With a career spanning over 25 years in gaming, iGaming, sports betting, and lotteries, Isaacs brings considerable expertise to GLI. He will join the board alongside representatives from CVC Capital Partners, a private equity firm.

GLI has classed Isaacs’ role as advisory and has not provided details about his start date, compensation, or any equity agreements associated with this position.

Isaacs has had a significant career, holding senior roles and participating in mergers and acquisitions worth more than $10 billion. His experience includes serving on the board of Galaxy Gaming and a brief tenure as CEO of Entain, which lasted five months. In 2022, he was inducted into the American Gaming Association Hall of Fame, acknowledging his impactful contributions to the industry.

Regarding his new position, Isaacs expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I am excited to join the board of GLI as it embarks on its next stage of growth. I look forward to working with James Maida and CVC as we build upon the incredible business built by James and his team over the past 37 years."

This announcement comes on the heels of GLI’s investment partnership with CVC Capital Partners revealed in June, where CVC’s Strategic Opportunities division invested in GLI to advance the company’s global expansion and long-term strategy. Maida emphasized that Isaacs’ substantial industry experience aligns perfectly with GLI’s growth objectives, saying, "I am thrilled that Gavin is joining the GLI board… Gavin’s decades of experience, vision and history of innovation make him a perfect partner as we move forward."
