Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has appointed Gavin Isaacs, an industry veteran with more than 25 years in gaming, to its board in an advisory capacity. This appointment is subject to regulatory review and approval.
Isaacs brings extensive experience in gaming, iGaming, sports betting, and lotteries. He will join the GLI board alongside representatives from CVC Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
The details regarding Isaacs’ start date, compensation, or any equity arrangements have not been disclosed by GLI, who has termed the position advisory.
Isaacs has had a notable career, including senior executive roles and involvement in mergers and acquisitions exceeding $10 billion in value. He served on the board of Galaxy Gaming and briefly held the position of CEO at Entain for five months. In 2022, he was inducted into the American Gaming Association Hall of Fame, acknowledging his significant contributions to the gaming sector.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining GLI, Isaacs said, “I am excited to join the board of GLI as it embarks on its next stage of growth. I look forward to working with James Maida and CVC as we build upon the incredible business built by James and his team over the past 37 years.”
Isaacs' appointment follows GLI's investment deal with CVC Capital Partners announced in June, aimed at supporting the company’s global expansion and long-term strategy. James Maida, GLI's CEO, noted Isaacs’ industry experience aligns well with GLI’s growth goals, expressing delight at Isaacs joining the board: “Gavin’s decades of experience, vision, and history of innovation make him a perfect partner as we move forward.”
