Playson has named Denys Koshel as its first VP of Commercial Partnerships, a strategic move aimed at enhancing support for its global operator network. This newly established role combines account management and leadership in emerging markets to create a more cohesive approach, directly reporting to Chief Commercial Officer Ben Wood. The restructuring intends to offer partners improved, data-driven support across various markets, ensuring clearer communication, quicker decision-making, better campaign coordination, and more tailored commercial recommendations.
Koshel, who has spent nearly 11 years at Playson, most recently held the position of Head of Emerging Markets. Over the years, he has taken on various commercial roles, including Commercial Analytics Lead, and actively contributed to integration initiatives. This experience has equipped him with a solid grasp of both the technical and commercial aspects of the company, positioning him effectively to steer the next evolution of Playson’s commercial services.
Ben Wood detailed the significance of Koshel's appointment, stating, "Denys’ appointment as our first VP of Commercial Partnerships marks an important step in the continued evolution of Playson’s Commercial organization. This transformation is ultimately about improving how we support our clients, bringing our commercial capabilities closer together to provide operators with more connected, insight-led and business-focused partnership support. Over nearly 11 years with the company, Denys has built a deep understanding of our partners, products, markets and internal operations. His combination of commercial, analytical and technical expertise makes him ideally suited to lead this new function."
Addressing his new responsibilities, Koshel expressed pride in stepping into this role during a pivotal time for Playson. He remarked, "Our partners operate in increasingly competitive and complex markets, and they need suppliers who can support them with more than content alone. My focus will be on building a commercial service model that is clear, efficient and genuinely valuable for our clients. By combining market knowledge, data, AI-driven insights, promotional planning and operational discipline, while continuously optimizing our internal processes through AI adoption and automation, we can help partners make better decisions, launch stronger initiatives and get more value from Playson’s portfolio."
