New York Gaming Revenue Rises, Yet Sports Betting Falls in October

October gaming revenue in New York reached $59.4 million, reflecting a slight decline from September’s $60.7 million. The largest contributor to this revenue was Resorts World Catskills, which generated gross gaming revenue of $19.6 million. Following it was Rivers Resort and Casino in Schenectady with $16.7 million, Del Lago Resort and Casino with $15.6 million, and Tioga Downs casino, which brought in $8.5 million.

In terms of statewide turnover for slots and table games, there was a 51.0% increase compared to last year, totaling $627.5 million. Resorts World again led in this category with figures of $155.6 million for slots and $42.9 million for table games.

However, sports wagering revenue for October amounted to $1.7 million, a significant 37.0% drop compared to October 2020. Rivers Casino, along with its sportsbook, performed the best in sports betting, bringing in $949,784. This was followed by Del Lago’s DraftKings sportsbook with $503,241 and Resorts World’s sportsbook with $222,437. The Tioga Downs, operated by FanDuel, contributed $43,152.
