Golden Race Secures Certification to Operate in South Africa

Golden Race has secured certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Africa, enabling it to launch its online products and solutions in South Africa, the continent's largest gaming market. The company, recognized as a leader in virtual sports within regions including Nigeria and Kenya, reports that 80% of virtual bets in these areas are placed using its offerings. Their product line features include 3D virtual football, virtual keno, 3D horse racing, and 24/7 live games. The company's V4 online solution enhances its games portfolio and introduces other updates like a new back-office system. Golden Race saw significant growth during 2020, having established partnerships with 100 new operators within just three weeks after the Covid-19 pandemic began. While online gaming, except for sports betting, is still illegal in South Africa, the National Gaming Board issued a notice in September, reminding operators that sports wagering is the only allowable form of igaming in the country. Virtual sports betting falls under the category of legal sports betting.
