SBC has revealed the five industry figures who will enter the SBC Hall of Fame in 2026, celebrating their significant contributions and influence in the field. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. local time at the Palácio Estoril Hotel in Lisbon. This event will occur on the eve of the SBC Summit 2026 and is part of the exclusive SBC Leaders Summit, which is open only to key C-level executives.
As the Hall of Fame marks its 10th anniversary this year, it reflects on the evolution of the global betting and gaming industry since its inception in 2016 as the Sports Betting Hall of Fame. The latest inductees are recognized for their roles in shaping the industry today.
The inductees for the 2026 SBC Hall of Fame are:
– Khalid Ali (CEO, International Betting Integrity Association)
– Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes (Vice President of Latin America, Caribbean & Spain, Gaming Laboratories International)
– David Natroshvili (Founder, Spribe)
– Jason Robins (Co-Founder and CEO, DraftKings)
– Mor Weizer (CEO, Playtech)
Rasmus Sojmark, SBC founder and CEO, commented on the impressive range of talent among this year's inductees, highlighting their combined contributions to entrepreneurship, technology, integrity, regulation, and leadership within the sector. He noted that celebrating them in Lisbon also represents a moment to acknowledge the significant progress made within the industry over the years.
Besides the honor of induction, Robins is also slated to deliver a keynote speech during the SBC Summit 2026. He will share the stage with sports icon Michael Jordan and Carsten Koerl, founder and CEO of Sportradar.
This year’s honorees join a prestigious list of previous SBS Hall of Fame members, which includes the 2025 inductees: Esmeralda Britton (president, Junta de Protección Social in Costa Rica), Chad Millman (co-founder, The Action Network), Scotty Schettler (former director, Race & Sports, Stardust), and Shelley White (former CEO, Responsible Gambling Council).
Among past inductees are notable figures such as John Anderson, former CEO of 888 Holdings PLC, Victor Chandler of BetVictor, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, Denise Coates of Bet365, Fred Done of Betfred, Carsten Koerl, Pontus Lindwall of Betsson AB, and Norbert Teufelberger, co-founder of Bwin.
The SBC Leaders Summit itself serves as the industry's most exclusive gathering, bringing together over 500 C-level executives for a day filled with closed-door networking, presentations, panel discussions, and regional and regulatory roundtables. Evening events feature a cocktail reception, a gala dinner, a poker tournament, and an after-party at Casino Estoril, a historical venue that inspired Ian Fleming's Casino Royale. Participants also gain full access to the SBC Summit and the Affiliate Leaders Summit happening from September 29 to October 1 at FIL and MEO Arena.
