Casino Guru Awards 2027 Launch Date Announced

The Casino Guru Awards are set to return on October 15, promising to build on a record-breaking year that saw over 150,000 votes in various public voting categories. This year will feature notable changes, including an enhanced focus on player protection and an exciting new initiative that aims to expand beyond the traditional category structure.

The fifth iteration of the Casino Guru Awards will officially open nominations on October 15, continuing its mission to honor the companies, initiatives, and individuals that contribute to a fairer, more transparent, and innovative iGaming landscape. Comprehensive information about the 2027 categories, nomination processes, and important timelines will be unveiled soon.

Created to highlight achievements not easily quantified by conventional metrics, the Casino Guru Awards prioritize the impact that businesses and individuals have on players, industry standards, and the broader gambling environment, rather than just their financial success.

For the past four years, this distinctive project has recognized outstanding work in areas such as fair terms and conditions, responsible gambling practices, transparency, social responsibility, leadership, and innovation.

The anticipation surrounding this year’s event follows one of the most successful editions to date. Total nominations surged by approximately 33% compared to the previous year, with new categories generating exceptional interest. More than 150,000 votes were cast in the Players’ Choice and Voice of the People segments, indicating significant public engagement. The awards season concluded with nearly 150 iGaming professionals attending the live ceremony at The Xara Lodge in Malta.

Daniela Sliva, PR & Creative Project Director at Casino Guru and head of the Casino Guru Awards project, expressed optimism about this year’s developments: “We have seen participation grow, we have seen new categories receive a very strong response, and we have seen how much interest there is in recognizing work that genuinely improves the industry. This year, we want to build on that. Player protection is one area where we believe even more good work deserves recognition, but we have been developing something else as well. We are keeping that part to ourselves for a little longer.
