Casino Guru Awards 2027 to Launch on October 15

The Casino Guru Awards are set to return on October 15, following a highly successful previous edition that garnered over 150,000 votes in public categories. This year will introduce new initiatives with an emphasis on player protection and a unique project that expands beyond the traditional categories.

As the fifth iteration of the Casino Guru Awards commences, it will continue to spotlight the contributions of individuals, companies, and initiatives that promote a fairer, more transparent, and innovative iGaming landscape. Details regarding the specific categories, nomination process, and key timelines for the 2027 event will be provided shortly.

Established to honor achievements that may not be easily quantifiable using standard metrics, the Casino Guru Awards prioritize the influence businesses and individuals have on players, industry standards, and the gambling ecosystem as a whole. Over the past four years, the initiative has celebrated efforts in critical areas such as fair terms and conditions, responsible gambling practices, transparency, complaint resolution, social responsibility, leadership, and innovation.

The upcoming awards follow a notably strong 2026 edition, which saw a one-third increase in total nominations compared to the previous year, with new categories attracting significant attention. The engagement was underscored by the collection of over 150,000 votes across two public categories, the Players’ Choice and Voice of the People. Nearly 150 industry professionals participated in the live awards ceremony held at The Xara Lodge in Malta.

Daniela Sliva, the PR & Creative Project Director at Casino Guru and leader of the awards project, stated, "We have seen participation grow, we have seen new categories receive a very strong response, and we have seen how much interest there is in recognizing work that genuinely improves the industry."

Looking ahead, Sliva mentioned that this year will focus more on acknowledging efforts in player protection while hinting at additional, yet-to-be-revealed features that will enhance the awards.
