Mobile-first engagement platform Venuetize, a provider of casino solutions Everi has agreed to purchase “certain strategic asset” from the company.

The terms of the transaction, which includes the exact assets involved, was not revealed.

Venuetize is not a gaming company, but rather focuses on the entertainment, sports and hospitality sectors. Venuetize’s clients include the PGA Tour and Churchill Downs, as well as TD Garden Hub (an “entertainment area” that is connected to Boston Celtics home stadium).

Venuetize, according to Everi, “collaborates” with clients and partners to enhance the guest experience.

Randy Taylor, Everi’s president and CEO, highlighted that Everi would expand beyond the casino industry with this deal.

This acquisition, he explained, will expand Everi’s market reach beyond the casino gaming industry. It also aligns perfectly with Everi’s capital allocation strategy. The latter has a proven track record of making high-return investments which expand Everi’s technology into new markets.

The complementary assets of Venuetize and its established customer base, combined with the existing loyalty and financial products we offer will enable us to expand into new entertainment, sporting and hospitality venues. We also expect to be able to develop cross-marketing opportunities for our current customers.

Everi’s executive vice president and leader of the fintech industry, Darren Simmons, echoed these sentiments.

He said: “Everi has already proven itself to be a leader in mobile platforms for sports, venues and entertainment, and the addition of Venuetize marks the beginning of a new exciting chapter. It catapults us into a mobile world with clients and venues that are well-known around the globe.”

Jon Romm is the founder and CEO of Venuetize. He said that his company would start to provide its gaming services through this agreement.

He said, “I’m thrilled to have the chance to offer our leading expertise and solutions in the rapidly evolving mobile gaming landscape.” The knowledge and expertise that our team gained from delivering complex and seamlessly integrated mobile-first platforms in stadiums and venues will easily create a fabric for strengthening guest engagement within any gaming enterprise.

Everi reported record revenue in the second quarter of 197.2 million dollars (PS162.2m/EUR193.8m).
