Kalshi Partners with Five MLB Teams to Boost Sports Trading

Kalshi has announced a significant move in the sports sector by entering multi-year, exclusive brand partnerships with five Major League Baseball teams: the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants.

These partnerships will manifest in various forms of branding, including in-stadium signage and a range of fan engagement activities spanning online platforms, radio, and social media. In the case of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the collaboration will feature Kalshi-themed LED signage prominently displayed around Dodger Stadium, alongside naming rights for the Gold Glove Bar located within the stadium. Fans attending games will also benefit from Kalshi-specific offers and unique on-site experiences in Centerfield Plaza throughout the season.

Interest in baseball markets on the Kalshi platform has surged recently, with trading volumes related to baseball rising an astounding 36 times year-over-year. Adam Barrick, who leads Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, commented on the initiative, saying, "The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favorite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America."

This expansion comes in the wake of Kalshi's strategy to form partnerships across the sports industry, which previously included a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks that allowed for co-marketing efforts, arena signage, and branding during local broadcasts. By adding these five Major League Baseball teams to its list of partners, Kalshi is broadening its strategy to tap further into the thriving sports prediction market. Despite the significant increase in trading volumes attributed to baseball contracts, specific metrics and overall figures have not yet been disclosed by Kalshi. The company is actively pursuing further collaboration with Major League Baseball, cementing its ambition to enhance its presence in this competitive sector.
