The Spectrum Gaming Group's 2022 report, central to the ongoing conflict between major game suppliers, has been made public in the context of Evolution's legal proceedings against Black Cube. Black Cube, an intelligence firm hired by Playtech in 2020, investigated supposed illicit activities at Evolution, producing a controversial report that Evolution has largely disputed.
In response to these allegations, Evolution commissioned Spectrum Gaming Group to review its actions alongside the legitimacy of Black Cube's findings. Despite claiming the report cleared its name, the document remained confidential until its recent unsealing.
On Wednesday, Playtech issued a statement pointing out alleged compliance issues at Evolution as detailed in the Spectrum report.
The Spectrum report raised concerns about the accessibility of Evolution’s games in certain restricted markets, the regulatory implications of its operational practices, and the insufficient monitoring of its customer base. Importantly, the report did assert that Spectrum did not find any evidence of illegal actions by Evolution.
The full 68-page report is now available for registered users of the New Jersey court system, allowing for public scrutiny of its contents. Following this release, a detailed analysis highlighting the report’s key aspects will also be published.
