What online slot games are capturing the attention of players in the United States? In its latest Gaming Insights and Performance report, bet365, an expanding player in the online casino market, detailed player preferences and game performance across its various iCasino markets in North America.

Each month, the British operator analyzes data from 22 iCasino markets globally, including three key U.S. states: Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The company employs an algorithm that evaluates metrics like revenue, stakes, sessions, and engagement levels for around 7,500 online slot titles on its platform. This analysis focuses exclusively on slots and does not include table games or live dealer games.

Published in September, the newest report highlights the most favored slot games for the month of August.

In Michigan, ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways reclaimed the No. 1 spot after previously holding it in June. This follows Playtech’s Oink Oink Oink: Pharaohs, which entered at No. 1 in July but dropped out of the top 10 in August. Bet365 noted that Hypernova Megaways has demonstrated consistent popularity across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, making it one of the top contenders in the operator's U.S. casino lineup.

Notably, IGT’s Cash Eruption advanced two spots to No. 2, having been a top performer in all three states the previous month. There was also a newcomer to the podium, with Design Works Gaming’s Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap entering at No. 3. Other familiar titles maintained their positions in the top 10, with Capital Gains from AGS rising six positions to take fourth, followed closely by the standard version of Oink Oink Oink, which also improved its rank to fifth. Notably, Big Time Gaming’s Extra Chilli made a significant jump, moving up 14 places to rank at No. 8.

In New Jersey, the Cash Eruption High Stakes variant surged from No. 16 to claim the top slot for August, effectively replacing the previous leader, Piggy Payouts Bank Buster LuckyTap, which fell out of the Top 10 entirely. The second spot in New Jersey was taken by White Hat Studios’ 7’s Fire Blitz Hotstepper Jackpot Royale Express, while the exclusive bet365's Pop-A-Shot LuckyTap from Design Works Gaming climbed eight positions to finish third. Light & Wonder’s 88 Fortunes, which was second in July, dropped to fourth place, and another Lucky 7’s title, Fire Blitz Win Boost, ended in fifth.

Design Works Gaming saw continued success with a new entry, Dubble Bubble LuckyTap, debuting at No. 7. Hypernova Megaways rejoined the top 10, advancing two places from a 12th-place finish last month.

According to bet365, New Jersey reflects a mature market where features like jackpots, branded games, and proprietary mechanics can lead to rapid changes in rankings.

Pennsylvania, however, experienced more pronounced fluctuations in the August charts. Lucky Larry’s Lobstermania Slingo from Slingo Originals surged 10 places to become the new No. 1. Cash Eruption climbed from third place to finish second, while ReelPlay’s 10,000 Wonders 10K Ways shot up from 49th to claim third. Light & Wonder’s Huff N’ Puff Grand entered the top 10 across all three states, concluding August with a solid fourth in Pennsylvania. IGT’s Fortune Coin rose 29 positions to round out the top five, with new entries from Everi’s Super Jackpot Wild Gems and Blueprint Gaming’s Big Money Frenzy appearing at seventh and eighth, respectively.

Looking ahead, bet365 revealed plans to include West Virginia in its next report as it launched both iGaming and sports betting there in August, marking it as its fourth U.S. iCasino state. The operator also recently launched sports betting in Washington, D.C., in early September.
