Bally’s Corporation has secured a substantial loan totaling nearly $560 million from WhiteHawk Capital Partners to support the upcoming $4 billion Bronx casino resort project. This financing package consists of a $400 million term loan commitment, which will be available upon closing, along with an additional $160 million that features a deferred draw option. The funding is earmarked primarily for pre-construction activities, although some of it may be allocated for general corporate purposes, with Bally’s aiming to finalize the deal by the third quarter of 2026.
Soo Kim, Chairman of the Board at Bally’s, remarked on the significance of this financing, stating, "This important financing allows us to progress the pre-construction planning process so that we are ready to complete the remainder of the capital raise and remain on schedule."
Bally’s was awarded one of New York’s three downstate casino licenses in December 2025, and plans to construct the resort at Bally’s Golf Links located in Ferry Point Park, Bronx. The project's estimated total cost stands at approximately $4 billion, which includes a $500 million license fee, and it is targeted to open its doors in 2030.
In addition, Bally’s previously announced in August its signing of a non-binding term sheet for the pre-construction loan. The company is concurrently developing a $1.7 billion permanent casino in Chicago, which is slated to open in early 2027. The funding secured from WhiteHawk enhances Bally’s liquidity for the Bronx initiative, but the company still needs to generate the remaining $4 billion required for the project, while fulfilling its broader financing and development obligations.
