Lottomatica Reports 5% Revenue Increase in Q3 Following Cirsa Acquisition

Lottomatica has reported a year-on-year revenue growth of 5%, reaching €537 million for the third quarter of 2026. This marked the company’s first quarterly results following the announcement of its acquisition of Cirsa for €2.8 billion. Adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter stood at €200 million, reflecting a 3% increase compared to the same period last year.

During the earnings call, Guglielmo Angelozzi, the chairman and CEO, stated that the acquisition of Cirsa is anticipated to close in the second quarter of 2027. Angelozzi characterized this deal as a “major strategic milestone” that will “significantly enhance our scale and future growth opportunities.” He also mentioned, "The integration work streams are already up and running with our colleagues in Cirsa. The chemistry is very good."

The Cirsa acquisition is expected to extend Lottomatica's reach, which has been primarily concentrated in the Italian market. Recent figures underscore the company’s solid performance in the domestic market, with a notable increase in its online sports betting market share, which rose by 2.1 percentage points to 34.8%. Additionally, the iGaming market share increased by 0.6 percentage points, resulting in an overall online market share of 31.7%, up 0.9% from the same period last year.

Angelozzi attributed the company’s success to enhancements in its product and marketing strategies. He noted, "When you continue to do well on the product, well on the marketing activities, improving the offer, you keep on eroding market share from competition slowly but consistently."

Online operations have been a significant driver of growth for Lottomatica. In the first nine months of 2026, the company recorded a total betting handle of €35.2 billion, an 8% increase from the previous year. Online betting represented €24.2 billion, comprising about 69% of the total, showcasing a 12% year-on-year growth.

Lottomatica also highlighted that the results for Q3 were influenced by sporting outcomes, providing adjusted EBITDA alongside a normalized figure that reflects results under more typical payout conditions.
