In October 2026, the online gambling brand Rainbet came alarmingly close to matching Bovada’s share of U.S. search demand, largely thanks to a boxing livestream hosted by influencer Adin Ross. According to new data from Blask, during the week of October 16 to 22, Rainbet captured 15.9% of the U.S. Blask Index, while Bovada held 16.4%, creating a narrow margin of just 0.5 percentage points between the two brands. This represented the smallest gap observed that month.
The surge in Rainbet's visibility followed two major developments. On October 13, the company introduced a sweepstakes platform targeting U.S. users, aiming to engage those who typically have difficulty accessing its cryptocurrency casino. Just three days later, Rainbet's association with Brand Risk Promotions 16, a boxing event livestreamed by Ross on the Kick platform, boosted their exposure even further.
Rainbet capitalized on this event by running a viewer promotion during the broadcast, leading to a significant spike in search activity. Blask’s hourly data revealed that nearly all the increased searches for Rainbet occurred within the five-hour window of the livestream on October 16. This uptick was observed across all 21 states in the U.S. for which Rainbet data was collated, indicating the brand's appeal extended beyond any specific regional market.
However, this spike in search interest was short-lived. By October 22, just six days after reaching its peak engagement, Rainbet's market share of U.S. search demand plunged to below half of Bovada’s, reverting to the brand's earlier standing at the start of the month. The data illustrated that search interest in Rainbet had dipped slightly below pre-launch levels, suggesting that neither the launch of the sweepstakes nor the influencer-driven campaign succeeded in establishing a lasting increase in consumer interest.
Additionally, Rainbet and Bovada entered October from contrasting commercial standings. In September, Bovada ranked third in estimated revenue size as measured by Competitive Earning Baseline (CEB), with Rainbet lagging behind at seventh. During this period, offshore gambling operators together accounted for 73% of the U.S. Blask Index and 65% of CEB.
The October findings highlight how a single influencer-led event can temporarily influence competitive visibility within the online gambling market. Rainbet closed the gap on Bovada in terms of weekly search share, yet the swift decline in interest reveals that the short-term impact did not result in a sustained increase in search demand.
