Gamdom Suffers $3 Million Loss from Security Breach

Gamdom, a crypto casino, recently reported a significant security breach that resulted in losses exceeding $3 million. The breach was identified after a series of suspicious transfers drained funds from its hot wallets across five different blockchains, subsequently forcing the gambling platform offline.

On October 13, the platform's hot wallets on Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Tron, and the XRP Ledger transferred over $2.3 million to five separate wallets in roughly the span of one hour. Notably, at least four of these recipient wallets had no previous usage history.

Immediately following the incident, Gamdom went offline. The company posted an update on X, indicating that they would resume operations shortly but did not provide specific details about the outage.

Investigations revealed that Gamdom's three Ethereum wallets alone moved approximately $1.2 million to one wallet that instantly converted USDT and USDC into DAI. Another wallet on Ethereum received around $870,000 worth of DAI, primarily through the Relay bridge.

Ultimately, these two wallets held approximately $1.8 million in DAI, along with 87 ethers. In addition, a smaller transaction involving ether was traced back to an older Gamdom wallet, which also received about $10,000 in BUSD. This transaction was believed to be linked to the wallet that processed funds via BNB Chain.

On October 14, Gamdom announced they had detected unauthorized access to one of their servers, which occurred due to a potential disk malfunction. In response, the company took their systems offline and assured users that their data remained secure. Felix Romer, the owner, confirmed that the breach led to the substantial loss of over $3 million but expressed confidence that Gamdom would be operational again shortly.
