ChatBet, a platform specializing in conversational betting and transactional messaging, has entered into a partnership with iSolutions to broaden access to artificial intelligence-driven betting experiences across Africa and other developing markets.
This collaboration enables operators using the iSolutions platform to implement ChatBet’s conversational betting technology, allowing players to explore betting markets, create bet slips, and complete their betting experiences via WhatsApp, Telegram, and various chat widgets available on web or mobile apps.
The initiative aims to connect operators with players through their frequently used channels while minimizing the challenges tied to traditional sportsbook applications and mobile websites.
Africa presents a unique opportunity for conversational betting, as messaging platforms are already integral to consumer communication, transactions, and brand interaction. Through the combination of iSolutions’ platform capabilities and regional operator connections with ChatBet’s technology designed for conversational interactions, the partnership seeks to make betting more accessible, user-friendly, and relevant to local markets.
Josh Swerdlow, the founder and CEO of ChatBet, noted, “iSolutions provides us a robust platform for growth across Africa and other emerging markets. In many of these regions, messaging is the main digital interface. The goal is not to compel players into using another app, but rather to let them explore, engage with, and transact through familiar conversations.” He stated, “This partnership will significantly simplify the process for iSolutions operators to adopt conversational betting as a new channel for customer acquisition and engagement.”
Filippo Ceci, co-founder and director of iSolutions, remarked, “At iSolutions, our approach has always been to integrate the best available products based on our clients' demands, supported by our consultancy. Our operators create their own business strategies, and our job is to enhance those strategies with appropriate technology and partners.” He added, “The agreement with ChatBet perfectly illustrates this philosophy. Conversational betting is exceptionally suited to Africa and other mobile-focused markets, and we’re excited to provide this technology throughout our operator network.”
ChatBet and iSolutions are currently collaborating on an initial deployment with operators, and additional launches are anticipated across the iSolutions platform.
In April, Bola Group unveiled the conversational betting platform ChatBet, claiming it to be the first of its kind in Africa. Bola Group CEO Hilton Hasson celebrated the launch as a major milestone for the company and the African betting industry at large. “Our teams have dedicated six months to creating something unprecedented in Africa,” Hasson said. “WhatsApp is ubiquitous, high data costs hinder access to traditional platforms, and the sports betting landscape remains largely underserved digitally. ChatBet addresses all these challenges.”
ChatBet initially launched in Zambia and plans to expand into additional markets, noting Zimbabwe and Malawi as targeted future locations for growth.
