ChatBet, a platform specializing in conversational betting and transactional messaging, has teamed up with iSolutions to enhance the availability of AI-driven betting experiences throughout Africa and other emerging markets.
This partnership will enable operators utilizing iSolutions’ platform to adopt ChatBet’s conversational betting technology. As a result, players will be able to navigate bet markets, create betting slips, and finalize their betting activities via popular messaging services like WhatsApp and Telegram, as well as through web or app-based chat interfaces.
The initiative aims to streamline player access to these services, minimizing the challenges often faced when using conventional sportsbook applications and mobile websites.
In Africa, the potential for conversational betting is particularly significant due to the prevalent use of messaging platforms for communication, transactions, and brand engagement. By merging iSolutions’ platform infrastructure and relationships with regional operators with ChatBet’s technology, the partnership aspires to enhance accessibility, intuitiveness, and local relevance of betting experiences.
Josh Swerdlow, the founder and CEO of ChatBet, commented on the partnership: “iSolutions gives us a strong platform partner for expanding across Africa and other high-growth markets. In many of these regions, messaging is already the primary digital interface. The chance here is not to push players into another app but to allow them to engage and transact through familiar conversational means. This partnership simplifies the process for iSolutions operators to integrate conversational betting as a new means for acquisition, engagement, and transactions.”
Filippo Ceci, co-founder and director at iSolutions, shared that the company prioritizes integrating the best available products according to client demands, supported by their consultancy. Ceci highlighted, “Our operators drive their own business strategies. Our role is to reinforce those strategies with appropriate technology and partners. This partnership with ChatBet embodies that philosophy. Conversational betting aligns well with African and other mobile-first markets, and we are excited to offer the technology through our operator network.”
Initial deployment efforts are already under way between ChatBet and iSolutions, with additional launches projected throughout the platform’s network.
In April, Bola Group introduced ChatBet, claiming it to be the first conversational betting platform in Africa. Bola Group’s CEO, Hilton Hasson, emphasized the significance of the launch for both the company and the wider African betting landscape.
Hasson remarked, “Our teams have spent six months developing something that has never existed in Africa before. WhatsApp is already widely used, data costs present barriers with traditional platforms, and digital sports betting in this market is still significantly underserved; ChatBet addresses all three issues.”
While ChatBet initially launched in Zambia, plans for expansion into further markets, including Zimbabwe and Malawi, are already underway.
