iGA Events has officially confirmed that the iGaming AFRIKA Summit (iGA Summit) will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from May 4 to 6, 2027. The event returns to the Sarit Expo Centre after a successful inaugural edition held in 2026 that attracted operators, regulators, technology providers, and investors from Africa and beyond.
The first iGA Summit had an impressive turnout of over 3,300 delegates from more than 100 countries. It featured over 100 speakers on two stages and showcased dynamic exhibitions that connected various stakeholders across the gaming industry.
Jeremiah Maangi, CEO of iGaming AFRIKA, expressed excitement about the upcoming event, stating, "We are coming back bigger and stronger than ever before. Building on the tremendous success of our past edition, we are committed to organizing the best gaming event in Africa, not just in terms of size, but in quality and impact. Our goal is to set a new standard for excellence in the industry, bringing together top minds, innovations, and opportunities the continent has to offer."
The focus for the 2027 edition will be on fostering sustainable growth within Africa's gaming industry, aligning with global trends in regulation, technology, marketing, payments, cryptocurrency, responsible gaming, community empowerment, and esports. Insights from the global gaming sector's developments will inform this agenda.
Maangi emphasized, "Africa is no longer an emerging gaming market; it is one of the industry’s fastest-growing frontiers. iGA Summit exists to connect the people, ideas, and investments that will shape the next chapter of that growth, and we’re excited to welcome an even broader international audience in 2027."
With an aim to build on the momentum gained from its inaugural edition, the 2027 summit plans to attract a diverse group of C-suite executives, regulators, investors, and technology providers, welcoming delegates from over 120 countries. Additional exhibition space has been secured to accommodate an increasing number of exhibitors.
Feedback from the first edition has been pivotal in shaping the plans for the upcoming summit. The Organizing Committee noted, "iGA Summit has always been built by the industry, for the industry. The feedback we received from our inaugural edition has become the foundation of our planning for 2027. By listening to our community and acting on their recommendations, we are confident that the next edition will deliver an even richer experience and create greater value for all stakeholders across Africa's gaming ecosystem."
This announcement highlights the ongoing expansion of Africa’s gaming industry and solidifies the continent’s role as a significant hub for gaming innovation, investment, and regulatory discourse. Registration for interest in iGA Summit 2027 is now open, allowing potential delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners to visit the official summit website for the latest updates.
