Flutter Entertainment has confirmed that Peter Jackson will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer and leave the Board of Directors effective September 30. Starting October 1, Dan Taylor will take over as the new CEO. Though Jackson will no longer hold an active role, he will continue to serve as an advisor until December 2026 to assist with the transition. According to the company’s official filing, his resignation does not stem from any scandals or disagreements with management.
In his farewell remarks, Jackson looked back at his tenure with pride, noting the significant developments Flutter has experienced over the past nine years. "Now is the right time to step down, and I’m delighted that it’s Dan Taylor that I am passing the baton to. I have worked with Dan for many years and have seen first-hand his ability to deliver results, develop and lead teams, and steer complex, high-performing businesses through periods of significant growth and transformation," he shared in a post on LinkedIn.
Taylor has previously served as Flutter President and as CEO of the International division. He is expected to join the Board officially when he assumes the CEO role. Taylor was appointed President of Flutter in May 2026, overseeing both FanDuel and Flutter International since that time. Prior to his current position, he held the role of CEO at Paddy Power Betfair from 2018 to 2020.
His promotion follows a significant management reorganization at Flutter in May, which granted him broader commercial responsibilities across the company’s global operations. Further information regarding his executive compensation will be made available in an amended Form 8-K after receiving board approval.
