Gavin Isaacs Joins GLI Board in Advisory Role

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) announced on Monday the appointment of Gavin Isaacs, a highly regarded figure in the gaming sector, to its board in an advisory role, pending regulatory approval.

Isaacs brings over 25 years of experience across gaming, iGaming, sports betting, and lotteries to the table. He will join the GLI board alongside representatives from private equity firm CVC Capital Partners.

While GLI has characterized the position as advisory, it did not disclose details regarding the start date for Isaacs or any financial arrangements associated with his appointment.

Isaacs' career has seen him in senior executive and board roles, contributing to mergers and acquisitions exceeding $10 billion. His previous positions include a director role at Galaxy Gaming and a brief tenure as CEO of Entain that lasted five months.

In 2022, he was honored with induction into the American Gaming Association Hall of Fame for his significant contributions to the industry.

“I am excited to join the board of GLI as it embarks on its next stage of growth,” Isaacs said. He expressed eagerness to collaborate with GLI CEO James Maida and CVC as the company builds on the legacy established over the past 37 years.

This announcement comes on the heels of GLI’s investment deal with CVC Capital Partners revealed in June, wherein CVC’s Strategic Opportunities division made an investment in GLI and related entities to bolster the company’s global expansion and long-term goals. Maida emphasized Isaacs' extensive industry background, indicating that it aligns perfectly with GLI’s growth plans. "I am thrilled that Gavin is joining the GLI board… His decades of experience, vision, and history of innovation make him a perfect partner as we move forward,” he stated.
