Cirsa has made a significant entry into the Portuguese gambling market by acquiring a 51% stake in Sociedade Figueira Praia, the operator of Casino Figueira. Joaquim Agut, Cirsa's executive president, stated, "Casino Figueira becomes the first land-based casino for Cirsa in Portugal, representing a new milestone in our history. This acquisition, together with that of CasinoPortugal.pt in 2024, reinforces our ability to offer an integrated gaming and entertainment proposition through online and offline channels."
The new acquisition allows Cirsa to diversify its revenue streams across different entertainment avenues, with both online and offline operations now situated in one location. This strategic maneuver boosts the company's market presence, as Cirsa continues to expand its share in various countries. Recently, the company ventured into the Paraguayan market with its investment in Slots del Sol, recognized for its successful gaming operations.
