EveryMatrix has invested in the UK-based gaming studio Jelly, which was founded in 2020. While the specific amount and stake acquired have not been disclosed, the company stated that this investment would enhance its position in gaming development. This move marks EveryMatrix's second investment in a gaming startup within a year, following its transaction with LL Lucky Games last May.
As part of the agreement, Jelly will integrate into EveryMatrix’s gaming aggregation platform, SlotMatrix, focusing on building, managing, and distributing gaming titles to a global network of operators. Additionally, Jelly will continue to cater to its existing distribution partners with casino content.
Ebbe Groes, CEO of EveryMatrix, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “I’m pleased to welcome Jelly to our SlotMatrix RGS partners programme. They already are live with several titles and we’ve been impressed by the quality and creativity of their work. I see a long partnership ahead and this is why we picked them to continue our series of financial investments in the space.”
David Newstead, CEO of Jelly, commented on the investment, saying, “We are now in a better position than ever to drive forward our studio expansion and product strategy. We share a common vision for entertainment in mobile gaming, and EveryMatrix’s plans for the US, their focus on engaging content and market-leading platform make them an ideal key distribution partner for Jelly to accelerate its product roadmap and grow our footprint in the US and European markets.”
Ashley Bloor, CEO of SlotMatrix RGS, added that this investment would enable operators to access more “high-quality, mobile-focused content.”
This announcement follows EveryMatrix's recent report of increased revenue and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization for its 2021 financial year, despite challenges from new regulations in Germany. Additionally, the company launched Armadillo Studios in the US, marking its first igaming studio investment there, and has plans underway for New Jersey while seeking licenses in Michigan and West Virginia.
